Epitaxial Clean Room Inspector QC 1988 to 1995

I transferred from being a Lap Operator in the middle of December, 1988 to the Silicon Expitaxial Area as the first "A" shift Clean Room Inspector QC.

In my employ as an Epitaxial Clean Room Inspector QC, I tested Epitaxial Operators against Vendor specifications, once a year. I wrote tags for non-compliance, machines out of calibration, and specifications that were out of date. I also checked the cosmetic value of shipping labels that were mounted on boxes of silicon wafers being shipped to customers.

I aided Engineering by writing and typing specifications to get organized before the ISO 9000 and 9001 inspectors arrived at our site for quality qualification.

I held this job till the end of June, 1995 when our Texas Instruments Expitaxial Department was sold to MEMC Southwest, Inc in an 80 - 20 alliance with TI.
